3rd Grade

October 19-23

General Overview: All classes(K-3) will meet 2 times a week for 30 minutes. All classes need running shoes.

Kindergarten, First, Second, Third Grades:  Warm ups consist of toe touches, legs together, legs apart. Then right leg over left, then left over right. Arms next- Right arm up pull it behind your head, then left arm. 10 jumping jacks, and 2 laps. As year progresses we add in other exercises from our ABSEF program. Kids meet in the center of the gym for warm ups, until later in the year when they have learned general space and can spread out safely. After warm ups we head into our activity.

 

Soccer Unit:

-    Warm-Up "Dribbling Indy 500"

-    Two partners inside of the track are passing and trapping while other partner is dribbling around trackSwitch when partner gets back.

-    Activity: Shoot the Gap

-    Divide into 2 teams. You are trying to pass the ball past the opposing team to your collector .Team w/ most balls collected wins

Soccer Unit:

-    Warm-Up "Dribbling Indy 500"

-    Two partners inside of the track are passing and trapping while other partner is dribbling around trackSwitch when partner gets back.

-    Activity: 4 corner soccer

-    Divide into 4 teams and shoot at any goal but your own. If you touch the ball with your hands/ get off court and do 10 jumping jacks.
